Too much mulch...
|

Did you know you can kill your trees by laying too much mulch? Anything more than 2-3 inches of mulch can prevent water from getting to the roots. Don't put mulch directly against the trunk. The roots think it's soil and they will circle around the trunk, strangling it. The tree will die from the top to the bottom.

Long lasting candles...
Cynthia submitted this Daily Shortcut. To keep your candles lasting longer, place them in the freezer for three hours before burning them. Also, if you are having a hard time removing a candle from it's holder, put it in the freezer for a few hours, the wax will pop right out. |
